The OBS series, always a best seller press line, has added a new machine which features the latest type of controller. The press know-how accumulated by Komatsu over many years and the latest computer technology are brought together in this press resulting in high accuracy, excellent reliability and easy operation. OBS Frontier II Series - a machine that presages a new age. The frame structure ensures improved rigidity A higher level of frame rigidity, essential for improved dynamic accuracy, has been achieved. Deformation is curbed and low noise and low vibration have been achieved. (Optimal frame design created through computer analysis) A mechanism that attains high accuracy A high quality eccentric shaft with high torsion rigidity has been employed as the main shaft. The plunger guide absorbs the thrust generated by eccentric motion. In addition, in combination with a long 6-point gibs, high accuracy is maintained over a long period of time. The service life of dies is also extended. Easy-to-operate 2-hand push button panel Large guard rings are fitted round the operation buttons allowing easy operation with the palm of the hand. (Patent applied for) Hydraulic overload protector A hydraulic overload protector is fitted. If a load in excess of the rated load is applied, the press automatically goes into emergency stop mode and this prevents damage to the machinery and dies. (Not fitted to OBS25)
